Pros
They provide a decent coffee machine, and there were some genuinely great interactions among the socond-class employees who tried to maintain a collegial atmosphere despite the challenges. However, these small perks were not enough to offset the overwhelming negativity of the workplace culture.
Cons
I worked at Q2 and, unfortunately, encountered a highly toxic work environment. The leadership team, particularly certain members of higher management, consistently abused their power, creating a culture of fear and distrust. Promotions were frequently based on personal connections rather than merit, allowing unqualified individuals to advance due to their flattering relationships with higher management. Transparency and fairness were severely lacking, making it difficult for hard-working employees to progress or feel valued. This resulted in a demoralizing atmosphere, causing talented individuals to either become disengaged or leave the company altogether. A specific concern involves a senior leader whose initial role in the company, with a vague job definition, was secured due to a personal relationship with higher-ranked leadership. Despite lacking the necessary experience, education, skillset, or even a basic understanding of the company's core technical services, this individual was rapidly promoted. Positions such as LCMS Associate Manager, LCMS Manager, LCMS Associate Director, LCMS Director, and Senior Director were all granted in quick succession, with some promotions even being skipped, and the latter two promotions happening within just a few weeks. These decisions were made without any internal transparency, further eroding trust in the leadership. I cannot recommend this company to anyone seeking a healthy, supportive workplace.
