Pros
The people I worked with when I got there 6.5 years ago were intellegent, innovative, friendly, cooperative, and had a shared sense of purpose.
Cons
New management came in and cut staffing to increase profitability. This resulted in subject matter experts being replaced with contractors who had absolutely no idea how the business ran. Some people were hired back at a hefty premium when it became clear that the new folks were useless. Some project are years behind because new management cannot articulate what they want, and the new IT people couldn't supply any background help. there is a sense that if IT would just disappear management wouldn't look so inept
