      Pros

      Independence and creativity is encouraged Able to socialise and have banter with members on gym floor, rarely a dull moment

      Cons

      - No training for classes that you have to teach, your boss just says 'figure it out' and in you go - Cleaning standards are absolutely unmanageable, asking us to clean every piece of equipment once every two days. That would be a tall order for a cleaner, and that's not even us, we're gym instructors with other things to do

      Pros

      The only “good” thing is the small percentage of new equipment and that some gyms are 24 hours.

      Cons

      Management is unfair, cutting hours and expecting a single worker to handle the entire gym. Incredible staff are undervalued, while third-party cleaners and side services pretend to solve problems they don’t. Members are chaotic, shifts are impossible, and yet leadership refuses to hire properly. Think smarter, not cheaper.
