Pros

The members are mostly lovely Parking is free There are convenient facilities nearby (shops etc.)

Cons

Anyone who works in fitness goes in knowing the 'model' is less than ideal, but paying rent to use a gym that has ongoing issues with... faulty equipment, terrible cleanliness, atrocious work ethic, zero mental health awareness (or care), a fixation on policies for employees when none are applied to management, insane staff turnover. I could go on for days. I do not recommend working for Puregym if you value: your income your love love of fitness your mental health having rights fair treatment

Pros

The only “good” thing is the small percentage of new equipment and that some gyms are 24 hours.

Cons

Management is unfair, cutting hours and expecting a single worker to handle the entire gym. Incredible staff are undervalued, while third-party cleaners and side services pretend to solve problems they don’t. Members are chaotic, shifts are impossible, and yet leadership refuses to hire properly. Think smarter, not cheaper.
