Pros

Flat hierarchy provides a lot of opportunity for a wide-breadth of work experience via lateral moves. Openness to cross-functional moves, which brings new perspectives to a team. International work force, especially in global HQ. Good at offering international work experience to employees. Beginning to create a Consumer Lifestyle product portfolio that makes more sense in the "health and wellness" area.

Cons

Flat hierarchy does allow for much team management experience until later on. Continuous cross-functional moves means a lot of lost history and time spent bringing new people up to speed on their new function. Few opportunities for promotion within the company. Recent financial announcements have created a culture that does not value innovation or market share gain (despite statements to the contrary) but rather cost-cutting and retrenching to find a way forward. The move to become a "health and wellness" company is slow and causing confusion.

Pros

The people in non- upper management roles that work there are fantastic. Great sense of community onsite and the culture champions are consistently looking for ways to make work life better.

Cons

Very poor communication on the strategy for the business unit. Leadership publicly promotes innovation and new ideas to be presented but then those ideas are shot down or penalized in private by current upper management. The business unit leadership says that don't want excuses for project delays but will then decide to do 3 major layoffs in the first two quarters with no transition plan, no support for gap in resources and no expectations to delayed progress.
