      Pros

      Ability to help customers maintain/fix their automobiles. Ability to stay current on automotive repair information. Can explain to the customer what needs to be fixed in the levels of priority.

      Cons

      Trying to convince customers that the top end model of tire or service is what they need. Sometimes, if the shop gets too busy, you have to mount tires. Not a horrible con but one if you would like to stay clean throughout the day.

      Pros

      Through my career I have learned a lot on the automotive industry.

      Cons

      Corporate found a way to cut payroll by approximately $1k monthly to former assistant managers by eliminating the overtime associated with the position and eliminating the position , renamed it and lowered the hourly rate and put them under " commission ". Results...many guys looking for a new job cause with cost of living constantly increasing pay went down drastically plus most stores are understaffed but corporate keeps pushing for productivity, really bad work environment.
