Pros

You can learn a lot in a short space of time and get exposed to some very interesting technology. There are some very bright and hardworking people there and that can go some way to making the place tolerable. Healthcare coverage is good and is one of the few nods to those with families and commitments outside of work. If you can stand the place for any length of time, it will stand to you in the long run. The exposure you get to the business can be interesting, especially on the traditional sportsbook side.

Cons

People management is appalling. There is no serious effort made at staff retention other than free bars (great if that's your thing, perhaps not such of a benefit to those with a life outside of work or who have been around the block more than once), periodic in-office "entertainment" and the like. Guess what? Staff turnover directly reflects this. There is little in the way of career development and progressing in your career is likely to involve exiting for pastures new. Online gaming, especially on mobile platforms, does increasingly come to resemble a depressingly grubby race to the bottom after a while. Project management had improved (from being non-existent) but there was still a long way to go and the daily battle with chaos gets old pretty quickly.
