Pros
It used to be one of the best places I have ever worked. Great atmosphere where innovation and and utilizing the bleeding edge of technology was encouraged. Met some great people there who are still good friends 5 years later. Employees were valued once upon a time and there was always some fun events taking place in the office and after work hours. Decent benefits.
Cons
Since the merger, everything mentioned above is dead in the water. Its hard to believe that its the same company anymore. Most of the good people and talent were shown the door when betfair took over. It was not a "merger" as they would have you believe. In an effort to cut costs and keep the shareholders happy, the people who helped build the company were turfed out, and their work was outsourced to "low-cost" centers. The atmosphere during my last 2 months there was awful and from what I have heard from friends still working there, it's only gotten worse. Don't be fooled by the Paddy Power cheeky charm. It was a great company once, the best in fact, but not anymore. You missed the good times, look elsewhere.
