Pros
The team is full of amazingly talented people! I grew in ways that I never could have imagined while working for the company. The company culture is great and truly diverse. You can come as you are to Opendoor and feel accepted. They also value work-life balance, which is huge. Pay was also fair with nice bonuses. The company sees that there are problems and they are actively working on finding solutions.
Cons
-Things were changing within the company too frequently, almost daily. The changes were difficult to keep up with. The company is trying to peddle out of some deep water and you could feel it in each level of the organization. -Too many managers: there are too many "chiefs" and many of them are just space fillers. It is hard to know what direction to take when there are so many people giving conflicting information or leaders not seeming to know what is going on. - For being a "tech company" this is not a very technically advanced company so you need to be prepared to dig for manual solutions to tasks. -Disjointed communication between departments and a TRULY broken process for servicing for the homes they own. "buyer beware" when buying an Opendoor home.
