Nutrien is a progressive company with intelligent, long-term thinking management. That said, recent shifts to incorporate a more modern workplace have resulted instead in wide-ranging feelings of disrespect and under appreciation. There was a time that, at a minimum, employees worked in cubicles that afforded at least a modest amount of separation from the distractions of their co-workers. Now, many people who used to have cubicles and some even full offices, now work at a desk, just a foot or two away from their co-workers, their germs, their cologne/perfume, their eating/chatting/hygiene habits, etc.. I understand this is an attempt to attract younger workers who may be more accustomed to "collaborative" work environments, but my observation suggests they prefer it simply because it allows them to waste time communally. The past five years have also seen a distinct re-enforcement of "the shareholder is who we care about" instead of the employee, with many jobs outsourced/over-seas with rumors of more to come.
