Pros
Within the Engineering Dept. of Newmark, it is small and through specific contracts such as mine through Verizon, while I am employed by Newmark, I work as a Verizon Engineer. So most if not all of my experience within Newmark is actually more like working for another company. HR is quick to respond to concerns, but offer little help in those concerns. Management is well balanced, but slow to adjust or make necessary changes due to client having final say.
Cons
Some are listed within Pros. The Engineering Dept. is a small shadow in the corner of the company. Working as a contractor under Verizon, work, and flow come from the client. Newmark acts as a hiring agency in that pay, incentives, benefits and so on are all Newmark based, but work, instruction, work management and so on all come from Verizon. The benefits through Newmark are Aetna, and complete trash in my opinion. Very expensive for quality rates and percentages.
