Pros
- You get something in your resume. - The people you work with depending on the team really is the reason to stay at Newmark.
Cons
- No 401k Match - Basic health insurance - LACK of diversity in the upper management is a big disappointment. On paper they want to seem like they care, will send emails and post on social and that's about it. - Career growth opportunity is a lackluster. They use Cantor's(former parent company) matrix for promotion. Basically if you fall in the matrix they will give you raise, otherwise no chance. - HR pretty much there to protect company, does not care about employees well being. - No budget for anything. - Management basically says here is the limited money but build me something shiny and new. - They will roll over for big brokers when they say no to using internal products, no back-bone. I have worked here for over 5 years and been through 3 departments, would not recommend Newmark to anyone that wants to work an exciting company. It's a shame, they could have been something bigger.
