Pros
Ability to work from home Some nice people Some clients are nice
Cons
I don't even know where to begin. I read these reviews before I started my job and I wish I had listened. NADAP draws you in with promises of being a truly caring non-profit, but when you lift up the curtain you see a top heavy, money hungry, fully profit driven "non-profit." The caseload is very high and you are expected to provide a very specific billable service to every client every month. If you are doing case management or helping the client in any way that is not considered "billable" it doesn't matter. People truly do scramble every month to meet their quotas, clients be damned. And no matter how many days you work each month, the number does not change. It's really tough to actually do anything for your clients because despite their "open door" policy you will be shamed for not knowing things. I was told that I should look everywhere I possible could including the internet before asking questions, and then I was chastised for not asking enough questions. At the end of the day, there is a lot of guess work from upper management. Prepare to be micromanaged down to the minute. Prepare to be belittled either in front of your supervisor or directly by your supervisor. I was verbally berated by someone who did not know anything about me. All they care about is that number you provide them, not the actual work you do with the clients. I was only there for less than 6 months and I saw 10 people leave. 10. In fact someone left the first day I started. So please save yourself from being set up to fail. Please don't hold out hope that everything will be ok, because at the end of the day they truly don't care. They will try to make you feel guilty and like a terrible Care Coordinator for not being able to meet their impossible and cruel (to you and the clients) standards. Your clients could be dying and you would still be required to meet those billables. Save your time, energy, and overall wellbeing from NADAP and run far away.
