- Head office refuses to give most staff the protection of a full time contracts despite staff working near 40 hours a week. This allows them to get away with giving you no benefits: no holiday pay, little to no sick pay, ect. The only real benefit you get working here is a 40% discount on jewellery, which does not make up for the inconsistency of hours, no holiday pay, and no sick pay.
- Store managers have been over heard on calls with Senior management being told not to give staff more hours as it will mean they have to be on a full time contracts.
- Hours unexpectedly cut in January every year and only a few weeks notice given to floor staff when the store isn't making enough money, causing staff to lose out on pay and not enough notice for them to quit and find somewhere with income security.
- London living wage is not met.
- No commission on pieces sold. Even if you're their top seller.
- Schedule posted 1 week before it is released, so it is incredibly difficult to plan and schedule your personal life.
- Shocking in-store managers and bullying culture from operations and store managers. Never properly addressed from HR even when raised.
I worked at Mejuri for over a year, by the end of it I was depressed and unwell. Disappointed from a company I used to aspire to.
