Pros
Passionate people, young people, intelligent people. Everyone's hoping for IPO, seems likely to happen before EOY. Company's going well. Learn something new everyday! if you're curious. I like the 2 lunches provided. The People&Culture team stirred up lunch alternatives for a few weeks but nothing seemed to stick other than healthy salad bar. Which I love. Plenty of sugar, protein and vitamins. BYOFiber. Go-pass is a win. Great for city commute. Discount at Equinox -- ma lux life at every 'Gud'mornin Hellohowareyou'. Very personable leaders. Some passionate hard-working people here everyday show up at 7am. Whether it's client call or the treadmill. Birthday ambush + cake (drag you into a fake 1:1) happens at least 2 times a day in various corners of the office. So heart-warming unless your birthday is on a national holiday. Then no cake. Or ambush. If you end up in the core teams, very good team-bounding. If you end up in the engineering teams, you're a treasured gem. Any other teams, I cannot speak of.
Cons
A portion of the bodies here don't really know what they're doing. Once you've been here a couple years you realize it's just like any other well-known tech workplaces. People still say 'I've never heard of that company' when I tell them where I work at, but I come back with 'We're a unicorn'. As pale as it is. Recent org-restructure messed up quite a lot of people's careers. We've hired senior directors who's bored all day and get no satisfaction and project managers and analysts who work their lives off. Bad planning is all what is. 401(K) not matched. If you watched one of our recruiting videos, it depicts the recruiting team lifestyle, only. Nobody else have so much fun, ever. Not even the marketing team. If you end up sitting near the recruiters, I'm sorry. They laugh and slow-clap a lot. So many meetings, I finally have 2 hours to do work!
