Pros

Below average salary and benefits, with an occasional lack luster pizza party to attempt to boost office moral. Very noisy customer service environment that enjoy casual conversations for all to hear. Not irritating at the slightest.

Cons

Toxic leadership with no sense of direction or guidance for those who are entering the industry. Communication and processes are beyond slow. I have house plants that grows faster than Marken Legal can respond to an urgent email. A very tacky style of conducting business in retrospect. Always asking suppliers for money in the most aggressive fashion possible. Soulless work culture with no real incentives to work harder other than to just keep your stressful job (management will lead you on with empty promises until they can't or they decide to restructure for the 10th time in 3 years) A very greedy and selfish leadership team who would throw anyone under the bus if it were in their best interest - will not think twice about it If you like to consider yourself an expendable resource, then this is definitely the right place for you For example, Marken leadership striped all employees of the observed Christmas Eve Holiday as a required work day within a 3-day notice period. The Marken Way...What a joke.

Pros

There are no pros if I did not get hired

Cons

Pay advertised was not accurate * Lack of transparency in compensation * Wasted time and travel expenses I had a very frustrating experience with the hiring process. I attended the interview and was told my performance was “perfect,” which made it seem like I was a strong candidate. However, the role was advertised at a minimum of $30/hour, and later I was told the actual pay was closer to $20/hour. That’s a major discrepancy and feels very misleading. On top of that, I ultimately received a rejection despite the positive feedback. Between the misleading pay and the outcome, this process felt inconsistent and unprofessional. I also spent time and money on travel (gas) to attend the interview, which makes the experience even more frustrating. Overall, this felt like a waste of time and could have been avoided with clearer and more honest communication upfront.
