Poor company culture (there is a massive blame culture problem which the company has tried to shake off for many years but this has been unsuccessful .)
Over resourced in management and under resourced in engineering.
Lack of formal training (expectation that your some kind of genius straight in the door, this is particularly difficult for graduates coming into the company.)
Company processes are heavily padded out - making it very difficult to get things done day-to-day.
End of the week requires you to fill out a timesheet by booking to projects, getting charge numbers to book to can take an arm and a leg to get from management, which is an unnecessary stress.
Engineering jobs can be quite pigeon holed. Departments are split up in a niche way, which if you are there for a very long period of time means your job prospects in another industry will be quite low.
The company has an issue with many of the older experienced people retiring and no one to take over the knowledge.
