Pros

I've been contracting for 20 years, with about a dozen or so clients under my belt over that time. This was the first company to fit my personal perspective with regards to people management. After listening in to some of the MBM (Market-based management) conversations I realized the common-sense, lean-budget style was what i have been looking for. A few months later and I converted to full-time. One item that may seem to be a hindrance, but is really a boon is the length of time it takes to hire someone. It takes what seems forever to get past the layers of interviewing sessions. From a potential hire's pserspective, this is a negative thing. But for those of us who have made it past the interviews, this is very very good. We know that a new hire fits the corporate culture and work ethic style that we also share. Also another good item is the ongoing personnel training for MBM. I won't rehash all the good documentation on the subject, but when you see colleagues actually using the concepts and speaking the same 'language' with regards to the aspects of MBM, you are already a step ahead in the problem-solving process.

Cons

None to date. Any potential issues that would have blown up or simmered slowly in past client sites have been discussed and actually addressed in a very professional and efficient manner.

Pros

Good insurance. The Atlanta office was more flexible with remote/hybrid work

Cons

The politics. People devalue teammates. Constantly changing direction so no meaningful impact can be made. Not a lot of diversity. If you don’t ask how someone’s kids are, you get complaints that you’re cold and difficult. Got there and a reorg killed the reason I was hired and was never provided with any sort of hope of growth opportunities.
