Pros
The employees I managed were hard working and some had spent years (life) with the company and were extremely loyal.
Cons
It was very hard to motivate the team on a daily basis due to the inability year after year to give even a minimum wage increase to the best employees. Wages and positions were constantly being frozen or cut to ensure the bottom line was beefy enough to ensure senior leadership was given their bonus.
