Pros
It's a paying job You have good customers every once in a while. There is truly nothing else good to say about this job.
Cons
-Abuse from managers -Unattainable corporate standards -Complete disreguard of employees -Impossible to move up in this company The management at this particular location was completely unorganized. There was no chain of command because anyone with a higher jb description than "Cashier" felt that they were in charge. Company policy are enforced upon hiring and drilled into newer employess but completely disreguarded by veteran staff. The store often remains unorganized because management encourages lower level employees ad new hires to "do whatever" in order to leave in a timely manner. Constant rotation of "floor leaders" or "store managers" made it difficult to be comfortable at your job because depending on who was managing on a certain day impacted how your day would result. Often times, lower level employees are pitted one another as higher level employees would often "gossip" to other employees, not for constructive criticism or to be helpful but solely to make conversation. You would often find yourself choosing whether to be disrespected by management and keeping your position or expressing your issues and being casted out among your coworkers and employers. Let's not even begin to address the "time off" policy. Unlike other companies, you have to request a day off, three weeks in advance. God forbid a surprise emergency arises or something out of your control occurs and you're unable to make it without making it clear three weeks ahead then you will be penalized. Even calling in, within sufficient hours before your shift and finding coverage will get you penalized. You're overworked and extremely under paid.
