Pros

Nice benefits and discount offers obtained with the employee card: pharmacy, travel agency, clubs, etc.

Cons

- The working contract is all inclusive, so no matter how many extrahours you hit, you will have the same salary at the end of the month. - The friendships are more important than business, so even if you bring to the top managers attention the fact that a middle manager stops real talent to promote his incapable friend, the top managers will reply that the relations are more important and do nothing. That is very frustrating for the people who want to grow. - The indirect, conflict avoiding Austrian culture impacts very strongly this company's culture. - In this company, the years spent in the company promote you, not the good work that you do. That is why this company has incompetent managers. - The values of the company are completely ignored. They are used just to print the Marketing and HR materials.

Pros

The North American CEO Genuinely cares about the well being of the employees and made it clear that work life balance was to be respected. They publicly disclosed their vacation time they took to encourage people to catch up. The work was interesting and Kapsch is always on the bleeding edge of technology implementation in the North American Market. Every project manager I worked with on Tolling and Traffic was made me want to learn how to operate on their level. Kapsch was very inclusive, I was provided a pride version of the email signature in 2021 and was never pressured to change it to appease customers. I deeply appreciated that,

Cons

The workload can be demanding as the headcount has not caught up to pre pandemic levels caused by delays in project awards as funding dries up.
