John Lewis worst place to work for. - Senior Project Manager John Lewis & Partners Employee Review

I was a Senior Project Manager in the IT department. On my first week a business manager tried to get my Systems Architect fired. Claiming he is rude and don't know how to work with business stakeholders. My own Programme Manager wanted to dismiss him without even trying to find out his side of the story. I found out the only reason the Business Manager is trying to get rid of him is because certain components were not allowed to be included in our project for delivery as those components were already part of a grander project due to be delivered few months later. She thought if she gets rid of him she can get someone who would give her what she wants.. This was going on for about a month trying to get him fired. Then my own trouble started. I had to work with a very junior inexperienced business manager who has been on the project with the rest of the team for almost a year and has also been unable to close a contract with a 3rd party vendor who will develop the software for John Lewis. My project was due to start in 3 weeks and I was being pushed for cost analysis and a complete project plan. Trouble is without the 3rd party secured and resources made available its all day dreaming. I convinced the business director to allow me to side step the business manager as I need to talk to the 3rd party. They told me that John Lewis has been playing hard ball for several months and they the 3rd party has because of that allocated their resources elsewhere and won't be able to start on my project in the next 3 months. Needless to say when I reported this I was let go of my contract claiming performance issues and the incompetent Business Manger and Business Analyst were left to continue working on the project.
