Pros

- Decent brand to have on - Understand how large bureaucratic company functions - Pay bands are broad, so pay can be competitive if you negotiate correctly

Cons

- Work and culture is not as advertised: - Culture: - Bell curve performance evaluation system isn't followed uniformly across the biz - Extremely hierarchical - Little-to-no transparency across the organization - Work: - There were only a handful of associates left working on Jet.com by July 2019. Many Jet.com postings are actually Walmart.com jobs. It's unfortunate that HR continues advertise Walmart.com jobs under the guise of a 'nimble-agile-startup'. - There are several instances of associates being transferred to new business units with little-to-no-say in the matter. - Poor work-life-balance for the majority of teams. Optics appear to matter a lot in the Walmart world.

Pros

The culture was awesome, with one rule (Be Nice) I loved Jet. We kicked some major #$^^ so much so that Walmart bought us and killed us. We had fun, it was like working at an all night rave music and dancing while we worked. hard to describe, you had to be there.

Cons

the pay wasn't the best but the benefits more than made up for it. The insurance was fantastic, the fun we had at work was enough to make up for the lack of pay.
