Pros

Good pay, benefits and perks. If you have a good management team for your sales force then the job was good.

Cons

Lack of transparency about how bonus' were calculated, National sales managers could (and did) withhold people from Gold Awards if they didn't "feel" like the person deserved it. National sales manager also increased forecast mid-year when product was performing substantially above target and withheld bonus when products performance didn't meet that new target by years end. As a sales rep, upper management only interacted with you 3 times a year at meetings and they would use that time to watch every move you made and critique it to death.

Pros

They still offer a pension if you can stand it for five years

Cons

Pay is low. They changed directions frequently. Transferring within the company is almost impossible. Unless your division is laid off... then they will transfer you to avoid paying you severance.
