Pros
If you're lucky - good manager, friendly atmosphere, much more relaxed than other hard core corporate employers in the field. Flexible work incl WFH but at your managers discretion, meaning you may never be entitled to it.
Cons
Severe lack of communication, lack of support, literally on your own. All is well when it ends well but if it doesn't - obviously blamed first hand. Training is non existant. Need to rely on ability of picking up skills by shadowing. There is a posibility of getting formal training i.e. diplomas in the field whilst working but i wouldn't know what that's like, after about a year of promises i gave up chasing. Middle managers have no clue what the team does. They're only there to entertain clients and have no interest in what the team does - as long as client is happy. Negotiate your salary well when you begin because you won't get any bonuses or rises.
