      Pros

      You get decent pay for basic work.

      Cons

      Hardly any room for advancement. Employees that have been working there longer get more leadership privilege and tend to be bossy. You're also stuck scheduled doing one main task throughout each day, except during closing, and this can go on for months.

      -Rotating Weekends (Work Sat/Off Sun then Off Sat/Work Sun) -Flexible Scheduling

      Cons

      -You are expected to do a lot of work for very little pay -Being promoted is extremely unlikely and any wage increases is purely for inflation, not because they think you deserve it. -If you do not fight for higher wages they will not give it (I knew someone who has worked full-time in the deli for years longer than I, but somehow he made less than me) - Deli Management is very clique like, the assistant store manager has many complaints filed against him. -Expected to work holidays, no holiday pay or overtime (ever)
