Place is full of complacency. If you aren't getting ready to retire, you're just biding your time until you can.
IT mgmt completely inflexible setting 8 hours as "core hours", flex time does not exist. You will be in the office from 9a-5p no exceptions. Put in some extra time earlier in the week and want to leave a little earlier on Friday? Nope.
No sick time available for the first year. Vacation time capped at 2 weeks until your 11th year. 5 paid holidays per year and you are expected to work everyday except Christmas. Use those holiday hours on another day (if it's your first year, save them for sick time.) Benefits are mediocre. Not eligible for 401k for first 18 months.
The only part of IT that has evolved is security. Cameras everywhere in the offices.
Ridiculous levels of scrutiny for experienced professionals. No eating at your desk. No checking messages or making personal calls. Walk in by 9 and forget you have a family or any responsibilities outside of work until you leave no less than 5pm.
No remote work allowed. You might be able to on a particularly bad weather day, but you are expected to figure out a way to show up even if your manager does not.
Need to take a day off because you are sick? Better only happen when no one else on your team is off or else you'll get dragged in and "talked to" for leaving the dept with no coverage.
