For non-full time employees hours vary greatly by season, as low as 4 hours a week during slow season...which is much of the year from late fall to early spring. The job is manageable its fairly basic and you can do well as long as you show up and do your best. However, like most retail environments its very cliquey, there is favoritism with management, you can't take things personally.
