Pros

None unfortunately. Have worked for Hertz close to four years and it's just an accelerating decline into a deep dark abyss.

Cons

Horrific management across all levels and departments. Employee morale has gone from sour to morbid. Just about every one I know wants to quit the Estero Headquarter office and actively interviewing for other companies. Four CEOs in the last 2 years (Mark, Brian, John and now Kathy). Company now trying to copy completion with Choice model and playing catch up but market share continues to dive all over the country. Dilapidated facilities is the reality across the country specially for employee areas. Consistently renting bad and unsafe cars to customers at astronomical rates. Employee benefits including merit increases and bonus are in constant flux in an attempt to avoid having reasonable targets to achieve and pay out. Stay away from this company whether you are an employee, shareholder or customer....you have been warned!

Pros

Great place to work in tandem with other professionals in your trade, always had a feeling of "family" working alongside my peers. We come together when times are tough, this is very rewarding,

Cons

The current economic and geopolitical spectrum have been proving a challenge to this industry as a whole, thankfully we are a resilient outfit with the best people at the helm.

Pros

It's a job in a bad economy. Decent vacation time but no money to go anywhere.

Cons

Favoritism, nepotism. We used to get profit sharing now it goes wherever it goes. New commission structure is bad.Dollar thrifty and hertz are all one yet hertz does all dollars work while they make the money and close whenever they want. Customers are always aggressive and rude.sick time is unrealistic. If you have any condition you have to get fmla and the company they use always refuse it. ,yet somehow the people that aren't sick are always on fmla.
