Pros

Learn how to Sale in high pace stressful environment. 30 days off a year. Abuse really nice cars on a daily basis

Well almost every aspect of this job was terrible but here is a short list. 1) Long work hours 7:30am to 6:00pm Mon-Fri open 9am - 1pm Sat. 2) Zero work life balance 3) Managers are promoted on the "Good ole Boys standard" if you fit in it is great but if you don't good luck. 4) High stress environment. You must sale to meet your numbers. You have to satisfy your accounts and customers that accounts abuse. 5) Constantly have to call and fight with a paying 3rd party (insurances). 6) Customers are generally in a bad mood because their only car is in the shop and you have to sale a ridiculously expensive insurance package that they don't need. 7) Low staffed locations so you have to do literally everything from cold call sales, in office manager duties and even wash/vacuum cars out while in a suit and tie. 8) 12 dollar and hour wage starting. Assistant manager makes 13 dollars an hour but bonuses off the locations. Location mangers make 32,000 salary and get to take a car home every night. But not the same car every night so good luck planning a trip after work. 9) This a a company that banks off the fact that they will have a 98% turnover rate. They bring you in and use and abuse you. 10) To get this job you have to have a college degree. You don't need one they just require it.

Cons

The current economic and geopolitical spectrum have been proving a challenge to this industry as a whole, thankfully we are a resilient outfit with the best people at the helm.

Pros

It is possible to make a difference if you are determined enough. Many engineers work hard and most try.

Cons

The company has a ton of tech debt that it recognized, but is not being addressed. Management controls the time, scope and so quality is falling. The people they have hired lack fundamentals understanding of software development practices. The company often will make decisions to save small amounts of money with their facilities and tools they give to employees without understanding the opportunity cost that was lost. Overtime is required. You can't work here if you want to have a family or keep your family from hating you. Title inflation is real. Many people are actually performing one level down from their stated title and those that are not are only not failing due to putting in crazy hours. Middle management wont stickup for their people to ensure they are not burning out. They see it happening multiple times in front of them and they do nothing.
