Pros
I've worked in the marketing department for 2 years. It feels like a start up where ideas are welcome and the environment is collaborative. Leadership is approachable and there is a high degree of professionalism mixed with a casual and friendly west coast attitude. I've had two different jobs with a recent promotion and have found Harry & David to have plenty of opportunity for hard working self-starters.
Cons
Expect long days leading up to, and during holiday season. I hire extra help in my personal life (a housekeeper and massage therapist) and eat out at restaurants more to simplify responsibilities and make it as pleasant as possible. Free time is very limited and it's best to take good care of yourself. Harry & David will need you on the ball every day, for some, weekends included.
