Pros
Guy Carpenter is a large organisation, and the overall experience can vary significantly depending on the team. I feel fortunate to have worked within a supportive and collaborative team, with a manager who trusts me to work independently while being supportive when needed. In this role, I’ve had the opportunity to grow and take on work that is interesting and challenging.
Cons
Compensation does not always reflect individual contribution, particularly in non-producing roles such as broker support. High-performing employees who remain in the same role for an extended period may find themselves taking on significantly increased responsibilities without a corresponding adjustment in salary, at times performing the workload of multiple roles while being compensated at a more junior level.
