Pros
The culture is very paternalistic. Benefits and pay, especially incentive pay, are strong. They offer flexible work arrangements that provide a lot of options for work/life balance. Summer Fridays are particularly nice. It's cool to work in a company of iconic brands and be able to identify with them. They've made a decent attempt at a career management process, and there are many opportunities to move around in the organization.
Cons
The corporate culture is very consensus-driven and heirarchical. Often projects get pushed out or are abandoned for no apparent reason. The organization is very tenure-driven--most senior leadership are 30-year veterans. Mid-career new hires can have serious challenges getting traction and building solid, meaningful relationships.
