Pros

Fun environment. Lots of kick backs from vendors. Getting to help people feel better.

Cons

Promises from day one and throughout my career to move up, but failed to promote me because I was too good at my job. Owners could be emotionally abusive and unprofessional. Lots of micromanaging. I poured my heart into my job. Owners put me in a manager position while others were out of work for health issues. We did an excellent job holding everything together while they were away, especially during a period of record sales and the holiday season. When management came back from their time away they put me back into a fitting position and told me I’m too good at my job, why would they put me anywhere else. Then they gave a raise to everyone but the two master fitters on staff. After I left they hired people for other non sales positions that I had been asking to fill for a long time. They also told us to do some job training on our own time without pay. Owners would hold seed products for months at a time.
