Pros

A lot of good challenging work in plant environment. Work life balance is what you'd expect from plant work. If you don't expect to work weekends and nights, you probably shouldn't work in a plant.

Cons

Corporation has poor vision and leadership. They overhired before COVID and then began to pretty much wage war on their employees. There has been a push to outsource engineering work overseas so much to the point that work from US based personnel are being credited to the overseas technical centers so management can make the result match the goal. Technical careers are not valued. During the COVID downturn, working people were slashed and management headcount seemed to increase, where I was working. Too many chiefs, not enough indians.

Pros

Good pay and a pension

Cons

Everything else. Benefits are lackluster, Flex Your Day policies are elusive. The company changes everything all the time so that a large portion of your time is spent finding new links to things on the portal, figuring out who to contact in various departments and in what country just to get a simple answer to a question. No one stays in the same role long enough to get good at their job. Morale is terrible.
