Pros

Only applies to Prague service center: -Safety oriented - multinational environment -business trips -many benefits -amazing opportunity for people without experience, everyone else stay away, especially if you are ambitious

Cons

-low salary, new hires get the same or higher salary than ppl for over 5 years in company -lack of senior positions, many colleagues are not willing to improve -loooooooong process of any change -service centers have no authority to improve processes, everything is decided in Houston and communicated down -employees in service centers are treated as workforce, not as people -no development, eventhough they keep telling they are developing employees, this is not true, in reality you get the position that is vcant and necessary and they will tell how amazing it is for you, hwne they are just using you to fill an empy seat -majority of managers have no managment skills, not only can they not lead or motivate people, they do not have the backs of the teammebers from the higher managment, they only care about looking good themselves in the ranking and negative feedback, high attrition in team or just overall bad mood in the team would hinder that. So if you tell your manager you are unhappy, noone else is going to now about it and so nothing is going to improve.

Pros

Great all around compensation - from salary, benefits (401k & pension & flexible work], medical [fantastic] Great people - at the company you understand everyone around is came from being one of the smartest people at their previous job/university. Within IT the overwhelming majority of people really care for you, this feels way more collaborative than competitive. Career Development - lots of opportunities to grow in breadth of experience to get deep in your skills and grow in leadership skills

Cons

Work Politics - being such a large corporation with a lot of history there is a tendency to be work politics/red tape sheerly because of the size of the company. However, it is not really bad if you are willing network , put yourself out there to talk with leaders, and be a normal hard-working enjoyable employee. If you do these two things you will succeed at ExxonMobil.
