      Pros

      Health insurance benefits are great (I was on an individual plan). They host fun employee events, sponsor employees for Storm the Bastille, and provide meaningful ways to contribute to the organization culture. Great opportunities to travel the world (depending on the client you work for). Very supportive of professional development and provide some tuition reimbursement.

      Cons

      Salaries are commensurate with nonprofits in the area. Mandatory in-office work day. Great opportunities for entry to mid level career, or those wanting experience in nonprofit.

      EDI employs staff to work directly with medical/research non-profits, giving employees the incredible opportunity to help its clients realize their vision. Culture is very supportive - EDI supports professional development and membership in related organizations for its employees to help them continually grow and say on top of trends. They provide pathways for staff to be promoted and grow within the company. They offer a variety of opportunities from meetings logistics to committee management to meeting planning to medical writing and more. I've worked there for over 15 years and have had an incredible experience with the company as well as with the volunteers we serve.

      No cons currently. Over the last 15+ years that I've been here, EDI has worked hard to support employees and respond to suggestions for improvement. For example, most positions are able to work remotely up to 3 days a week. EDI is also continuously updating technologies and systems to allow staff to efficiently do their work.
