Male dominated environment. No problem with that but as a new employee on my first week I was invited to a company event. One of the mangers was drunk, took a liking to me & felt that it was absolutely acceptable to force a kiss on me in front of all other colleagues including site manager. He did not appreciate being rejected, didn’t apologise on the Monday & acted like it never happened & became very dismissive and difficult towards me in the workplace. I sustained about another week and left putting my reasons in writing to HR. Being a new employee I wanted to fit in with my new team & this was made impossible. I wonder if he would appreciate someone treating his daughter like this! Shameful actually. A massive cover up was the outcome of the investigation but I didn’t expect anything less when all the witnesses had been best friends & work colleagues for 20 plus years.
