Pros

The first three months of working here were amazing. Everyone seemed friendly and supportive, and the environment felt positive. They were very understanding and optimistic. The one-month training was also paid, provided that you pass. However, if you fail at any point during training, you won’t be compensated.

Cons

After three months, things started to change. The work environment became very demanding. They constantly remind you of the “sales promise,” which is often unrealistic. For example, they expect students to reach a B1 or B2 English level in just 10 months or less. This might be possible for advanced learners, but for struggling students, it’s nearly impossible. On top of that, each class has 8–12 students, which puts enormous pressure on English coaches. Weekly feedback sessions also add to the stress. Coaches are scored from 5–10 (10 being the highest). If you make mistakes while teaching, you’re likely to get a score of 5, and repeated low scores can lead to termination. You’re also expected to maintain extremely high energy levels because your “dynamism” is constantly observed. At times, this feels exaggerated—almost like being forced to act like a clown. I often noticed students laughing at me, not because of the lesson, but because of the energy I was required to display. Despite having over 500 coaches, fewer than 50 stay long-term. The rest are constantly replaced, creating a revolving door of new hires. If you’re looking for stability in an ESL company, this is not the place. Demands are excessive, complaints go unheard, and there is no assurance of steady classes. For instance, when one of my classes was removed, I requested a replacement, but after three weeks, no new classes were assigned, leaving me struggling with bills. Even when the admin posted new openings, my comments and messages were simply ignored. It’s also worth noting that some reviews here might not be genuine. Coaches are sometimes encouraged to leave positive reviews in exchange for small incentives, like $10. Similarly, TikTok creators promoting the company may be doing so because of competitions offering rewards of up to $300. In the end, the company sets extremely high standards for teaching but continuously hires new coaches while letting go of experienced ones. This approach will likely hurt them in the long run, making their “sales promise” nearly impossible to achieve.

Pros

The organization and structure of the company is amazing, and so is the staff and leadership team. Instructions for our classes are super clear and everything is provided for us coaches.

Cons

It can be a little too demanding when it comes to expectations as a coach, especially when it comes to costumer satisfaction being so important for them.
