Pros
The learning opportunity is so high (because of Emma now I hate the word opportunity). It's because there are many areas in the company has people lack of knowledge or not even touched before. That's why you have to learn things from scratch and adapt. There are updates each week with a meeting called all-hands which is mandatory and all teams can have their time there to show the updates. People are great, most people at Emma are very friendly.
Cons
Learning curve, opportunity, adapt, overcome, agile. Now I really hate those words because you'll be hearing those stuff every single day there countless times. There is no running away from those words and this mindset. For them everything should be challenged and you need to overcome all the challenges. Or just set a meeting for hours and don't do anything, somebody will overcome with the issues anyways. There are countless meetings with no intention of solving anything. They always try to set meetings without any intention of solving any issues, it's because people (everyone) just pretends to work. Nothing else, people always crying around saying they have many many meetings and not even have some time to eat something, but reality is those meetings are totally useless. Things can be solved with an email becomes 2 hours long meeting. Everyone works overtime, and that brings too much stress. From management side, they don't care. They call it ownership, motivation, learning, opportunity. They never say that you have to do overtime, but there is no way you can finish your tasks and expectations in normal working hours. Everyone is burned out in the company. Ah...and also they know that your team has not enough manpower already. They will tell you that they are hiring somebody who is living on another continent :). Your team will consist of people around the globe and because of the time difference you wont get along. Also, because of the things you have to do in your job you wont be able to do more and develop yourself, and you wont get the raise because you didnt develop yourself. Salaries are super low. Yeah, they'll tell you it's gonna be reviewed each 6 months. Dont believe that because they wont. Yes they will review it but they will find a way to not to give you the raise. Also your overtime will not be compensated. Performance reviews are useless, the leads and heads will always get promoted to great salaries while you (2b, 2c) will be running around doing the real work. Heads and leads will get the aapplause Thats because people are fighting for the being the shiny guy/girl and step over each other and gossip from your back. Turnover rate is crazy high. Each month there are at least 100 people being hired and at least leaves the company or being fired. Employees are just disposable people that management can crush. HR: Always defending the CEO. No matter what, they are always saying that company is great, CEO is the best people in the world, Emma consists of many talented people it's the best company in the world to work for. And guess at the end how many HR people left at Emma. If the company is so great, why they are leaving the company? Also I am 100% sure that somebody from HR oh sorry P and O team will be writing down that "We are sorry that you couldnt get along with our Emmies and Emma DNA" the DNA is useless and that's all. Also, dont believe the best reviews you see here, because HR is asking everyone on their first week to fill Kununu and Glassdoor reviews, so some reviews here are people from only worked Emma for a week.
