Pros

- Budgets are hardly a concern if you have an initiative to roll out - Good salaries and benefits (depending on your office location) - Lots of great talent and initiative at the lower ranks - Culture of collaboration; people are very eager to help each other out - A multicultural environment means you get a lot of valuable insight about different ways of working in different locations - You’re free to think of and spearhead your own project, which is great if you hate micromanagement - You don’t need a lot of skill to get hired, you just have to be really eager to work and to please

Cons

- Fully agree with the review entitled “Stay away if you value yourself” posted Apr 11, 2022. The company heavily encourages posting Glassdoor reviews during onboarding (it’s even on the list of to-do’s for new hires, including posting on LinkedIn). I know for a fact one reviewer here posted her 5-star review just three days into the job. Hardly accurate, is it? - As many reviewers have said, this is a company with no direction masking their lack of direction and vision as “being agile.” Nope – agility means adjusting plans to suit unforeseen conditions, not having half-baked, poorly thought-out “plans” and changing said plans on a whim. They like to use the “we’re a start-up company” excuse for why things are still a mess, despite already being in the industry for 10 years. - Team leads and management have a disappointing lack of vision and skills. Ask any of them what their vision is for their team and it’s full of motherhood statements like “being the #1 sleep brand” or “making impact amongst Emmies.” No specifics about what they really want to achieve – that’s for you to figure out. That also means you receive very little guidance from your team lead. - Lack of specificity from job roles to expectations means a lot of things fall by the wayside. - They want you to create an impact immediately, and by “impact,” they mean “something big and flashy and looks impressive.” Never mind if it doesn’t make sense in the long haul. You only need to think about the here and now and what makes your team lead/your team/the company look great. If you have ideas that aren’t flashy but are valuable and sustainable, forget them. And you have to create impact now. It has to happen now – never mind that investing time for actual planning could have created a better project. Do it now. - Since it’s all about optics, they also like filling their calendars with too many meetings. Way too many. Don’t write an email, just schedule a Teams call. You'll look busier that way and people like to see actively collaboration. - They encourage open feedback and ideas from everyone – or at least, that’s what they say. If your idea seems sensible but your team lead/management doesn’t like it, then that’s your idea dead in the water. Don’t argue with logic, they’re not gonna hear it. - Very high turnover. You can count in one hand those who’re still there more than 2 years. - TL;DR: Looks great from the outside, absolutely in shambles inside. Don’t bother applying.
