Pros

Good pay in sales for top-performers, excellent benefits (medical/dental, 3/4 weeks vacation, annual free trips) professional development (in sales) recently implemented, friendly atmosphere, fun product to sell (who doesn't love to travel?)

Cons

The leader here is, sadly, not a leader; obsessed with arbitrary numbers (except the numbers that count, customers booked), making broken promises of prizes based on bookings and not delivering incidentally destroying all credibility on the part of management, extremely poor communication from management on job expectations, impulsive decision making on the part of leaders and senior management, constant change of marketing message and sales strategy making a steady bonus and sales techniques nearly impossible. This used to be an amazing place to work that respected hard work, experience, encouraged creative input, and top sales performance. Now, unfortunately, not even a top sales person has any kind of job security because of the impulsive, inexperienced leadership here. It's sad indeed and I truly hope they are able to turn it around because the product, tour directors, and employees are incredible.

Early career opportunities while having fun along the way is a big part of what we hope people experience working at EF, and we are happy to hear this in your reflection. Thank you for sharing your note on compensation as well. We review our compensation packages regularly to make sure they align with our industry standards, and we appreciate your perspective on that.

Pros

You get to choose your tour and recruit the students you want to bring. The paid chaperone ratio is 6:1, so it is very manageable. The tours are great and the local experts are wonderful.

Cons

Company support is variable. There is high turnover and new consultants are very sales motivated and don't always get the nuances of your school or community group. I have had some WONDERFUL concusltants, but they have always been promoted before I get to work with them again.
