Pros

When the job is making people (guests) happy its a pretty good gig. Coworkers are mostly fantastic and I made lifelong friends. Attractions is THE reason people come so to work on making those attractions actually operate and come alive are definitely the best jobs in the park. There are growth opportunities and they can be very competitive.

Cons

Union job so seniority is going to heavily affect scheduling and there is zero personal negotiation on salary. Full time can take a few years and cause people to accept a position in a different area because they're desperate for those benefits. Getting family and friends into the park free is a blessing and a curse and the new reservation system means it can be very difficult to schedule. Management interactions vary wildly and they often don't get rid of bad managers; they just move them again and again. Other jobs in the company have essentially zero respect for attractions operators.

Pros

Company cares and values its employees. There are many resources, events, and paths for individuals to learn and grow. This is a great place to get a solid footing and start.

Cons

Very difficult to move up as there are many people trying to work for the Resort. There is ample competition for positions and you need to work hard to move to a professional position outside of park operations.
