Pros

Can be good earning potential

Cons

I was 18 and going for my first sales job, I’m great speaking to people and I was keen to get stuck into sales and I had offers from different agencies, the interviewer expressed how important training employees is and how much they invest I thought this would be the best place for me to start my sales career. If they pump even half of what they suggested into training they are getting seriously ripped off.. None of these guys care about training. On my first two weeks I shadowed 5 viewings and was then told I would do my own viewings. This would be absolutely fine if I knew how to sell. I was thrown in the deep end. As this was the case, I wasn’t hitting goals and I was ridiculed by management and senior agents, no one had the thought to sit down with me on calls and tell me how to improve; what I missed, what I should be saying, how I should structure a phone call. After four months it turned into bullying from the whole office, not just about my work but on a personal level as well. I’m thick skinned so I stuck at it and ignored it because I wanted it to work so bad. Dexters does provide training and you sit down with other trainees to discuss ways to improve. In theory this was a good idea however in reality it was terrible, they teach on how to sell a product rather than sell in general. They would say "tell them loads of people are looking at this property" and other phrases which isn’t really selling, it’s just giving them the impending doom, which is useless if you haven’t done the rest of the sale correctly. Dexters has some awful ethics, agents get paid more on three year rental agreement with no break clause, which means they do not have a duty of care for neither there clients or the tenants. Tenants were routinely bullied into long agreements and same with the landlords. On the sales side they charge HUGE amount of commission off landlords, great trick of dexters is to mark the property WAAAY above market value, then tell you its too high, all to get your property on the market, when you try to leave they have you signed into a contract. Dexters is an unethical company, they do not have a duty of care for their staff or customers.

Pros

Wonderful! Outstanding! Incredible! Just some of the many words that can be used to describe Value consulting. They carefully helped me through the process to get our H1B visa. Even through the long and sometimes unbearable waiting times, they kept me believing that I would succeed in the end. Well, thanks to their professional handling of my application I did succeed and now in the US.Familiar environment, nice and, available colleagues. Good salary, very interesting projects, great clients, big exposure to senior management of clients, possibility to work abroad.

Cons

Challenging projects but not bad at all.

Pros

Christmas party is alright. It's free drinks and food. But it's on a Thursday night every year cause they don't want you to drink to much and don't like it when people book the next day off.

Cons

Overworked, treated like a child and spreading Propaganda about the property being fantastic all the time. They discard their staff like candy wrappers. Dexter's management are a real piece of work. The environment they create in the workplace is toxic and encourages alpha male bullying. They want total control over you and believe you should work in the Dexters way. They even tell you how to write your draw your own diary and and do diary check ups once in a while to make sure you comply. How sad that they mark you on how organized your diary is... and if you drawn your diary correctly with two lines in the middle and if you bullet point your tasks correctly. This is no joke. They do this. They say you start at 8:30am and you work till 7pm. But in reality if you turn up at 8:20am they give you a stern telling off. And say that you need to be in before then. They really expect you to start at 7:50am - 8:00am. And you work 6 days a week. People are going to say they pay you well. But if you work out the hours you put in vs the money you get. it levels out to the same as any other job. But Expect to exhausted all the time and treated terribly. Omg and the meetings. They love everyone super pumped and love lip service. You have to tell them what they wanna hear other it's career suicide. If you talk or are seen to be realist and to say the market down. Your seen as negative and that's it your career progression is over.
