Pros

You have the opportunity to work for one of the most forward-thinking companies in FinTech. I can confidently say that you will learn more in 3-6 months than some do in years. Deel is the company for you if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, want a real say in changing the status quo and build a product from scratch that affects millions. Deel embraces different cultures and backgrounds, in line with its mission to hire the very best wherever they are located (our workforce is spread across 30+ countries!). It feels like one big family - everyone is super welcoming and collaborative. If you're lucky enough to work here, get ready to be embraced by the tens (and soon-to-be hundreds) of 'welcomes' and emojis on slack!

Cons

'9 to 5' employees may find the work schedule a challenge as you have to adjust to different timezones and work when needed.

In our recent engagement survey so many people called out how fantastic and smart their team members are and how connected they feel to the team and to our mission so this is fantastic to hear! We do agree that this is not a typical 8 hour workday with set hours. The company runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week in service to our customers as everything we do and build and deliver impacts a person on the other end. Adapting to this as well as managing to the best schedule for you is critical to balance.

Pros

- Fully remote - Mostly nice and talented people, you can learn a bunch and the atmosphere is good in the beginning - Once you realize you're not ever getting a raise you can get by doing bare minimum - You can write the ceo on slack and he will respond, which is actually insane considering its such a huge company

Cons

- Everyone is underpaid, even the senior directors. They present employee equity as extra compensation, but make it very difficult to sell shares at secondaries. - Raise/promotion policies are set up in a way where most ppl will never get it. I've seen superstar employees get 2% annual raise. The rest got 1%. - Pay is localized, so you can do the same exact job but get pay half of the compensation if you're not based in the US. - It's either employee contract for less money, and you have some employee rights given to you by your country, or more money but you're getting misclassified on a b2b contract and using vaction days when you get sick. The actual work requirements and responsibilities are the same in both cases. - If you're not drinking the koolaid you better fall in line and keep any opinions challenging the status quo to yourself - Manager can get pretty manipulative, they'll say anything to appease you, but will not act in your interest unless it aligns with their internal politics play
