1. Cliques and favoritism is rampant. Everyone company or project team has some level of favoritism and cliques, but it's the extreme level that's concerning. 2. Culture can resemble that of high-school, this can be a pro for some, but most people hate gossip, and slander. This is a direct result of the cliques and favoritism. 3. Promotion and career advancement is opaque. Promotion and advancement appears to be determine less on merit and more on being aligned with the right person. 4. The project executive is essential the project manager, new PMs with prior experience with other GCs may find it challenging from an autonomy and role/responsibilities. A PM can easily feel micro-managed. 5. Lack of structure often leads to people duplicating efforts and doing things they are not responsible for. 6.Lack of accountability, some people(typically the cool guys) can get away with all kind of bad behavior and the leadership will ignore or often encourage this behavior if said individual is one of the favorite. The non-favorite are often held more accountable for their actions. 7. Last but not least, there is a lack of person space. Most people feel compel or deem it a right to provide every detail of your personal life, because we are supposedly a family and not a collection of individual with a single purpose.
