Pros

Some great client teams you get to work on.

Cons

Don't lie about the real reason for redistributing work to low wage countries. You don't have any clients in Manila yet you keep adding jobs there so don't say there's a strategic reason. It's cuz you just want to make more money off cheap labour. You don't have job security anymore at Cielo unless your title starts VP or SVP....

Hi there, this is Marissa Geist, COO. This was a tough review to read. Yes, we are continuing to change our business model as the market evolves, and having a sustainable talent strategy is part of that evolution. Yes, we have been moving work to more affordable locations to ensure that we can invest in our teams and clients appropriately. That said, we still have hundreds of people working for us in North America, directly supporting our clients and business. The decisions we make are not made lightly. When we relay messages of why we do what we do, we try to show that we have to have a plan that includes a way to grow, continue to be competitive and to thrive, because those dynamics help us reward our teams, invest in our business and ultimately keep more opportunities around. Now, that is a good message to deliver at a company meeting to employees that are still employed. It is tougher to deliver to someone who had a job loss at the expense of those decisions. This year has been unprecedented for the speed of choices and changes we have had to contend with. We are doing the best we can to take care of those who work with us, and I wish you only the best of luck as you find your next journey.
