Pros
The pay is almost good enough to justify the awful work environment. Almost.
Cons
Management treats workers like an occupying force. They crow about safety being a priority, but when it comes time to put safety before production, they choose production every time. There is no written communication from direct supervisors. This is so they can lie and gaslight you later. If you take a job here, communicate with your supervisor over text so you can have a record of what they say, or they'll throw you directly under the bus. They will tell you during your interview that it's a 4 day work week with opportunities for overtime. This is a lie. You will work every weekend if they determine that they need you, and they will claim they need you to work. Say goodbye to work-life balance. It's a union shop, but the union is laughably weak. It's a 'work now, grieve later' situation. That means if the company screws you, you have to keep working and trust a union steward to file a grievance. You will not hear back about the grievance, and nothing will get resolved.
