Pros

401k is about the only pro that is left. Upward mobility is available but with the current downward trend in sales this is unlikely in the coming years. When the company is doing well the bonus structure is very good. Based on projections I do not think anyone will be receiving a bonus any time soon though.

Cons

HR is the largest downside to this company. Every encounter that I have had with them over the last 5 years has been negative. Aside from local programs there doesn't appear to be anything done for employee retention. Pay increases without promotion are basically non-existent. If you're lucky you might get an increase every 5 years or so. Any pay increase that you do get will be follow with a statement like "5% is the largest pay increase that we're allowed to give." This goes completely against the meritocracy that CNH says that they are. There are countless rules set by HR that are made public but every single one of them has a hidden clarification that will basically let HR make any decision that they want. The new Job Framework is a perfect example. I know of a number of people that were below the competitive pay grade but were not moved for a handful of different reasons. Also, why set this framework if you are not going to publish what level each job is? How does it help define a career path when employees can't tell what job would be a promotion for them? Overall the only thing that this company does consistently is keep groups in silos. There is absolutely no teamwork to be had when it comes to projects within the company. It's every person for themselves and the focus is only on meeting the individual PLM targets for the year. If you're a manager you will quickly learn that the PLM process is also a bunch of smoke and mirrors. HR has the managers determine the box / score for each employee months before any formal PLM review is written. After the manager submits the score for each employee HR will come back and say what scores are approved and which scores need to be moved down. Sometimes HR will go as far to say which employee needs to be moved despite the fact that they have no idea how the employee has actually performed. Then the managers are tasked with writing a review that fits the score that HR determined. I'm counting the days until I can find an opportunity with a different company because the environment here is toxic. The best you can hope for is to help the attitude within your own little corner of the company. If it was an option I would put zero stars for Culture & Values for this company.
