Pros
Telecommuting, telecommuting, telecommuting. This allowed me to avoid a lot of commute traffic, attend pre-9 AM meetings, and do system upgrades that required long hours or weekends.
Cons
Broadcom is a very geographically diverse company. Most of the people on my team -- including my boss -- were not at my site. There wasn't much collegiality; little sharing of random ideas that could improve things or getting to know people. My boss rarely communicated with me.
